Craving noodles (take out) and wanted to check this place out. Walked in at 540. Lady took my order quickly. Food was ready in 10 mins.
Packed some chili sauce to go as I read in the previous review.
Wonton noodle soup was tasty. Not salty like other places I've had. Love me some shrimp and mushroom.
Brisket beef noodle soup was also delicious.
Pan fried onion cake jianbing was crispy and filling.
They even split the order in half for us.
Pretty good overall. Will come back to try other items on the menu.
There's 5 chefs and One hostess working. Some parking on the street or around the building. -

Food here is fine, not great, but considering your options in Portland for legit Chinese food, it probably ranks high.
THE OVERVIEW.
- Small parking lot behind the restaurant, otherwise your best bet is street parking
- If there's a wait, you can join the waitlist using their iPad at the front
- Avoid key dining hours if you want to skip crowds (communal seating, for the most part)
- Weird delays when ordering...we ordered a beef noodle soup, some dumplings, and congee. The congee surprisingly came out last, at least 20 minutes after my friend was served her food. Pretty sure they didn't just make congee fresh for me (not a thing), so I don't know what happened there
- During prime dining times, it can be a challenge to flag a server down, and even when it isn't busy, service isn't great
+ Super reasonable prices for the quality and quantity of food, at least
Just OK as an experience, but nice to know there's an option for comfort food in Portland. -

Meat folder is good. I recommend getting that. The fried dough is pretty good for being in the USA. Probably the best in the states I've had.
Jianbing is not good if you don't like cilantro. Cilantro tastes like perfume to me. Usually it's not that bad but this time there was nothing to counter balance all the cilantro. -

Chinese food is easy to make, but hard to master.
Our search of consummate comfort classics that my wife grew up on in China and I've grown to crave in my travels ... led us to seek out Master Kong. It turns out that old proverb about "when the Yelper is ready, the Master appears" is true because we were starving and ready to eat.
Jianbing is "the thing" to get from Master Kong, but the overstuffed crepes were light on spice or flavor proving that sometimes more is less. A far tastier comfort was a warm bowl of Mustard Pork Noodle Soup which I'll be hard pressed to not order every session I have with Master Kong. Steamed Xiao Long Bao (XLB) were a-ok; however, an order of Handmade Dumplings was our least favorite order. Olivia enjoyed the Fried Dough Bars (Youtiao) as a filler.
Master Kong may not join my list of legends including Master Yoda and Master Luke, but might be my local Captain of Chinese comfort classics. -

Solid Chinese breakfast spot! Super quick service and authentic flavors. Ordered the xlb, jian bing, wonton soup, you tiao, and clam zhou.
Jian bing was really interesting. I've never had it like that before; it was crispy and had fried bread flakes inside. Although it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, it was still very good. Clam zhou came with a lot of clams and was not fishy at all (thank goodness)! Wonton soup was great as well.
The xlb tho was really lacking. Skin was too thick and there was barely any soup inside. The flavor was good though and although it didn't live up to my expectations for a xlb, it was p good as a regular dumpling.
This place didn't blow my mind, but I'm still thankful for another Chinese breakfast option!
